IverHart Max prevents canine heartworm disease.  It also treats and controls roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms.

For: Puppies and dogs over 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 6 pounds.

Benefits: IverHart Max is a tasty chewable tablet (pork liver cereal based with artificial beef)  Easy to administer and it's given once a month.

*Must currently be on heartworm preventative to purchase or receive a negative result from a heartworm test.  Dogs under 6 months of age are able to proceed with heartworm preventative without a required heartworm test.  Dogs over 6 months of age, not on preventative, are required to have a heartworm test in order to purchase heartworm preventative.

Trifexis is a chewable tablet that kills fleas and prevents infestations, protects against heartworms, and treats and controls adult hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm infections. Trifexis requires a prescription from your veterinarian.

For: Dogs (over 8 weeks of age and at least 5 lbs or over)

Benefits:

Revolution is a safe and simple monthly topical medication used to protect your pet from heartworms, fleas and ear mites.  It also protects dogs from ticks and sarcoptic mange and cats from roundworms and hookworms. 

For: Revolution is for kittens and cats 8 weeks of age or older and for puppies and dogs 6 weeks of age or older.

Benefits:  Revolution protects your pet from heartworms, fleas and ear mites, among other foreign invaders.  Fights both internal and surface parasitic infections.  It can also treat mange.  Safe and easy to use once a month.

Comfortis is the first FDA-approved, chewable beef-flavored tablet that kills fleas and prevents flea infestations on dogs for a full month.

For:  Comfortis is for puppies and dogs 14 weeks of age and older.

Benefits:  Comfortis starts killing fleas within 30 minutes and lasts an entire month.  It kills the fleas before they can lay eggs.

*Comfortis is not recommended for dogs who have history of having seizures.  Comfortis must be given with a full meal.
